The VMS records live video and archive the video for evidentiary purposes, but also serves as a control center, allowing end-users remote command and control of camera encoder parameters and pan/tilt functions. VSU currently has a need for video cameras to enhance its VMS ability to conduct overt video collection in support of field operations. The surveillance video will be used as key evidence for ongoing FBI cases. The required camera must integrate physically and technically integrates seamlessly with any Cannon camera previously deployed to the field.

The requested Canon VB-M50B cameras will be used for a current deployment of AWS-3 monitoring packages which will support agents at all 54 Field Offices in the FBI. Over 100
Electronic Technicians and 150 Technical Agents are trained and familiar with the operation of the requested cameras. The Canon VB-M50B is also being utilized by our “Smart-edge” team.
The misson of this team is to provide video analytics at the edge device in order to reduce bandwidth of transmitted video. This supports lowering the cost of transmission over the AWS-3 network. The Canon VB-M50B have been deployed by our concealments group to support Field
Agent and fits the form factor of our current concealment products. The concealments have been
