DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS

For Fall Protection Inspection and Certification Services for B1622 10 July 2020

1. SCOPE OF WORK:

The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and transportation necessary to service and perform preventative and remedial maintenance on Fall Protection Components for B1622. Work to be performed is as follows:

a. Check all rigid rail systems (HLL) in various elevations ranging from 30 to 95 feet (3 each).

b.Provide inspection and certification services for all rigid track systems (3 each).
c.Provide inspection and certification services for all Self-Retracting Lanyard's (6 each).
d.Provide inspection and certification services for all trolleys (6 each).
e.Provide on-site training for up to 10 people to keep current on ANSI Z359.2.

Due to the dislocation of Edwards AFB, from any service centers, it is imperative that the contractor maintain replacement parts in order to maintain these components, with a minimum of downtime. When notified of remedial maintenance discrepancies the contractor shall be so equipped as to be prepared to cover an array of repair scenarios.

2. WORK LOCATION:

The work to be accomplished is located within the 412th Maintenance Group complexes, Edwards Air Force Base, California 93524-6325.

3. HOURS OF WORK:

The hours of work shall be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

4. DAMAGES:

Any government or privately owned property damaged by the contractor shall be replaced or repaired immediately by the contractor at no expense to the government.

5. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED ITEMS:

Water and electricity will be furnished to the contractor by the government from government existing systems outlets at no cost to the contractor.

6. CONTRACTOR FURNISHED ITEMS:

The contractor shall be required to furnish trucks, Man-lifts, ladders, tools and all related such items necessary in the performance of this contract at no cost to the government.

7. SAFETY:

The contractor shall comply with all fire and safety regulations at Edwards Air Force Base, in addition to Federal OSHA and CalOSHA.

8. QUALITY ASSURANCE:

The contractor shall be responsible for quality assurance. The assigned government inspector(s) shall evaluate and approve all work accomplished.

9. EXCESS MATERIAL:

All excess materials generated by the contractor shall be removed from the job site and disposed of by the contractor.

10. RESTRICTED AREA PERMITS:

The job site could be located within a restricted area. The contractor shall obtain security clearance for his personnel and equipment by submitting to 412th MXG/MXOLS, Facilities, the following; names of personnel, social security numbers, drivers license/vehicle numbers, and copy of current registration one week (seven calendar days) prior to commencing work. All operations within the restricted area shall be in strict accordance with AFFTC Regulation 55-1.

10. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE:

Preventative maintenance shall be on 30 day basis. All parts and labor to perform preventative maintenance shall not exceed the monthly allotment per visit. The contractor shall carry, on-board repair vehicle a representative assortment of parts needed to maintain the above itemized pieces of equipment. These parts can be established from past preventative and remedial maintenance history reports, or manufacturers' preventative maintenance schedules.

11. REMEDIAL MAINTENANCE:

Remedial maintenance will be on an on-call basis with response time not to exceed twenty-four (24) hours excluding weekends and federal holidays. The contractor shall carry, on-board repair vehicle or in-stock, a representative assortment of parts needed to maintain the above itemized pieces of equipment. These parts can be established from past preventative and remedial maintenance history reports.

Remedial maintenance outside this statement of work will be paid for using the government IMP AC card.
