Contract Summary
This is an Awarded Contract document (BPM006328) between the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) Purchasing Office and Markit! Forestry Management LLC, an LLC based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The contract represents a state-level indefinite delivery vehicle for forest restoration and vegetation management services. Markit! Forestry Management LLC, represented by Alyssa J. Priest (EVP & Chief Administrative Officer), has been selected as an awardee under this multiple-award contract structure. The contractor identified three subcontractors for service delivery: Forrester and Associates (Santa Fe, NM), Verde Earth Technologies (Williams, AZ), and Unique Forestry (Albuquerque, NM).
The contract covers forest thinning services utilizing four primary methods: mechanical grubbing, hand crew lop and scatter, mechanical removal/mastication, and herbicide application by hand. Pricing is structured on a per-acre basis with "not to exceed" rates varying by vegetation type (juniper species and mesquite), tree density categories (0-75 trees/acre through >300 trees/acre), terrain classification (grassland, grassland-woodland transition, or woodland), and average tree height or diameter. Per-acre rates range from $300 to $2,000 depending on the method and vegetation characteristics. The contract is structured as a multiple-award indefinite delivery vehicle, meaning the contractor is not obligated to receive any specific volume of work, and AZGFD retains discretion regarding task order issuance. The contractor must not commence billable work until receiving a purchase order, contract release document, or written notice to proceed from AZGFD Procurement.
