About this file
The document is a contract award recommendation for Contractor Network Support, issued by the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA) through a competitive sealed bidding process. The procurement was conducted under the Arizona Procurement Code, with The Cable Guy selected as the recommended contractor after an invitation for bid (IFB) was sent to 73 suppliers, resulting in only one bid received.
The contract covers network support services including various cable installation tasks such as copper and fiber optic cabling for drops between 0-1000 feet, outdoor cabling, and network infrastructure projects. Pricing is detailed for specific cable installation types, ranging from $77 to $1,360 depending on distance and complexity. Additional hourly rates are established for labor ($55), technicians ($65), and engineers ($85). The scope includes projects like 100 cable drops, fiber pair installations, switch stack rebuilding, network cabinet and server rack installations, and network discovery. The procurement specialist determined the single bid to be fair, responsive, and in the best interest of the state, recommending contract award to The Cable Guy.
