Procedure i

1) Fill a 250 rnl flask with approximately 25 ml of distilied water. Weigh the flask ' containing the water (= initial flask weight). All weights to be recorded to at least three decimal places out, 1 /I 0,000~. . '

2) Cut conditioned specimsls to 6" X 1" iize. Measure h d mark approxirnatelyl" fiom the top and W' from the bottom

3) Place pin across the I" mark so that epch end of the *in is.cxposed and able tb be hung over the top of the flask. Utilize the 1" area to @ark specimen appropriately (for example: left side post laundering or c k t e r initial.. .)/

4) Place specimen in flask containing water by allowin$ the pin to hang over the edges of the flask. The specimen should not be submerged { t o the water level higher than the I/qn mark at the bottom of the specimen. i

5) Set timer for 30 minutes. .

6) AAer 30 minutes, hold specimen by tbt 1" ma, sli&lY raise specimen, and gently .

shake five times while still in flask in order to removk any dmps of water that may be sticking to the bottom of the specimen. Remove specimen from flask.

7) Measure the length of the apparent ''wet" area of the beckten.

8) Weigh the flask containing the balance of remaining -water (= final flask weight).

i Report- Measure the distance of the "wet" area mbsured post 4bjection to the water to the nearest 111 6 ~ . ". !

Calculate the differential mass calculation as follows:

Initial Flask Wei~ht - Final Flask Weight X Id0 = % Weight differential Initial Flask Weight

3.3. Lining. The cloth for the lining of the trunks Jhall be black! 100"/. polyester circular knit crepe, micro denier or near micro denier. Antimicrobial and m 'isture management properties shall be inherent in the fiber. The fabric shall conform to the requirements in Table II.
