18. Requests for special service or emergencies, other than the tasks included in the task and frequency chart will require written request of the customer and agreement from GW concerning the terms of performance. Central Ohio Technical College – Ariel Hall shall designate the person or persons authorized to approve and order special services from GW.
Special services require the approval of the GW Vice President of Business Services, in addition to the written request from the authorized customer. This document shall be presented with the monthly billing statement to substantiate charges for additional work services performed. A loaded hourly and loaded overtime hourly rate have been provided for your convenience.
19. GW has accepted back a few tasks in the scope of work that was previously the responsibility of COTC – Ariel Hall staff (cleaning marker boards, dusting the first-floor entryway & hallway ONLY, cleaning entryway windows and door glass, and sweeping and damp mopping stairwells weekly or as needed for spills). The price of this contract did not increase in terms of hours or price for this work at this time.
However, if the activity in the building (catering events, large areas used more than normal, extra detail needed in restrooms due to nurse work being conducted, etc.) increases to the point where there are not enough hours each day to complete the normal tasks and handle this increase, the contract will need to be modified to reflect this. Because these activities vary, GW will notify the Customer when the work is more than can be handled during the normal hours of the contract.
Approval will need to be given for the work to be completed, and the customer would be billed using the given loaded hourly rate for the extra time used.
