About this file
This document is Amendment No. 1 to AHCA Contract No. EXD117, an agreement between the State of Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (the "Agency") and Lawson Huck Gonzalez PLLC (the "Vendor"), a private legal services firm. The amendment is dated April 2020 and involves modifications to an existing contract for legal services provided by the vendor to the state agency.
The amendment extends the contract term from November 29, 2023, to June 30, 2025, and increases the total contract amount from $200,000.00 to $350,000.00, representing a $150,000.00 increase for legal services. The fee structure allows billing up to $330,000.00, with the vendor required to notify the agency when billable services reach $300,000.00. Reimbursable costs are capped at $20,000.00, with a notification threshold of $12,000.00. The amendment also adds a special condition requiring the vendor to share drafts and obtain authorization from co-party counsel when representing the agency in litigation matters involving the State of Florida or other state agencies.
