About this file

This document is an Amendment to a Standard Professional Services Agreement between the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Volkert, Inc., with involvement from additional subconsultants including Miller, Legg & Associates, Inc. and Scalar Consulting Group, Inc. The amendment is for the District Four Procurement Services Office, specifically modifying an original agreement (CAA32) executed on 8/27/2020 for design services on State Road 5/US-1 from North of Virginia Avenue to North of Avenue O.

The amendment increases the total contract value from $840,939.44 to $1,018,165.73, adding $177,226.29 for additional services and extending the project completion time to 8/26/2024. The scope expansion includes roadway analysis, drainage analysis, signing and pavement marking plans, and survey work for extended project limits. The contract uses a combination of lump sum and defined loaded labor rate compensation methods, with rates specified for various job classes across multiple consulting firms. The amendment adds optional services to be issued by Letter of Authorization, with specific allocations for survey and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) services, photogrammetry, and geotechnical services from subcontractor firms.
