About this file
This document is a Railroad Change Order (No. 1) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to Florida Midland Railroad Company, involving a railroad crossing improvement project in Polk County, Florida. The project is associated with Financial Project Number 44884515701 for work on F Street in Frostproof, and is referenced under a Master Agreement dated 2/22/1988. The change order involves multiple exhibits outlining requirements for employment verification, Buy America provisions, and non-discrimination assurances.
The change order authorizes preliminary engineering, materials, labor, expenses, and equipment to install a new concrete tub crossing at Crossing No. 627541M, with a total cost of $90,643.00. The work includes installation of an MBM Crossing System with 115 lb. rail, transition between rail sizes, approach tie installation, track tie replacement, ballast rock installation, surfacing, and asphalt paving. Notably, the agreement modifies the original Master Agreement to make the Railroad responsible for 100% of Crossing Maintenance. The project is fully reimbursable using the Force Account Method, and the funds were approved on 5/27/2021 with a contract period from 05/20/2021 to 05/20/2031.
