This document is a Railroad Reimbursement Agreement for Grade Crossing Traffic Control Devices between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida Midland Railroad, Inc., and the City of Lake Wales. The agreement involves the installation of railroad crossing safety improvements at Lincoln Avenue in Polk County, Florida. The parties are collaborating on a federally and state-supported infrastructure project to enhance railroad crossing safety.
The contract covers the installation of new traffic control devices at railroad crossing number 625472A, with a total project cost of $209,890.00. The scope of work includes installing a new cabinet with train detection, flashers and gates with LED lights, bells, and one pedestrian gate. The project is part of a broader initiative to upgrade railroad crossing safety equipment, with work to be completed according to FDOT standard plans and specifications. The agreement is effective from January 21, 2021, to January 21, 2031, and is funded through the state's transportation budget.
