The amendment, executed on September 29, 2022, modifies an original agreement from December 10, 2020, which governs the maintenance and reimbursement of active railroad grade crossing warning devices.
The amendment adds two specific railroad grade crossing warning devices to the existing agreement: SR 739 / Old Metro Parkway (Crossing ID#621493E) and SR 739 / Hanson Street (Crossing ID#623296X). The contract is a five-year commitment from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2026, with a total maximum participation of $174,662.50. The Department will reimburse Seminole Gulf Railway annually for maintenance work, with $34,932.50 allocated per fiscal year. The reimbursement rates vary between 50% and 100% depending on the specific crossing location, and the maintenance work will be performed by the railroad each preceding year and paid for by the state in the subsequent year.
