About this file

This document is a Railroad Reimbursement Master Agreement for Preliminary Engineering between the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and CSX Transportation, Inc., a Virginia-based corporation with its principal place of business in Jacksonville, Florida. The agreement was originally executed on September 15, 1998, and establishes a framework for collaboration on projects involving railroad crossings and right-of-way adjustments throughout the state.

The specific contract (Change Order No. 2) pertains to Preliminary Engineering and Flagging Services for a resurfacing project on SR 574 in Hillsborough County, involving two railroad crossings (624345V at RRMP 869.40 and 624344N at RRMP 868.90). The total estimated cost is $50,000, with $37,705 allocated for contracted and administrative engineering services and $3,771 for contingencies. The work is 100% agency-funded, with no direct railroad contribution. The contract is reimbursable under the Force Account Method and references a master agreement dated 09/15/1998. Exhibits A, B, and C outline additional requirements including E-Verify usage, Buy America compliance, and federal assistance provisions.
