About this file

This is a Settlement Agreement (SA052) between the State of Florida, Department of Commerce, and SLSCO, LTD., executed on June 4, 2026. The agreement resolves outstanding payment obligations under prime contract number IA018, which was originally entered on April 15, 2020, for the administration and execution of projects under the Rebuild Florida program. The contract expired on March 30, 2024, but payment disputes remained unresolved. Both parties entered into this settlement to avoid further legal proceedings while protecting the interests of stakeholders and ensuring the continuation of Rebuild Florida projects.

The settlement obligates the Department to pay SLSCO, LTD. a total of $15,040.76 for materials, labor, and services performed during the contract term. This amount comprises two mobile mini storage invoices: $4,064.82 for project ID-005513 (Shoupe) and $10,975.94 for project ID-009146 (Bright). Payment is contingent upon annual legislative appropriation, fund availability, and Chief Financial Officer approval. The Department has 90 calendar days from full execution or 30 days from CFO approval, whichever is later, to issue payment. The agreement is binding on both parties and their successors, and SLSCO, LTD. waives all remaining claims against the Department and associated Rebuild Florida properties in exchange for this settlement payment. Neither party admits liability through this settlement.
