About this file

This document is an Addendum (JAC 2023.01) to an existing contract (JAC 2017.01) between the State of Florida Justice Administrative Commission (JAC) and LexisNexis, a division of RELX Inc., and LexisNexis Risk Solutions FL Inc. The addendum involves parties from Florida and Ohio, specifically extending the current contract's term as negotiations continue for a new contract following an Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) issued in February 2023.

The contract provides legal research and investigative database access for attorneys, legal staff, and investigators in Florida's Justice Administration offices. The current addendum extends the existing contract for an additional 30 days, through July 31, 2023, to allow time for finalizing a new contract. The extension maintains the existing terms and conditions, ensuring uninterrupted access to online legal research, public records, news, and investigative databases. The parties are working to transition to a new platform called Lexis+, with the current extension serving as a "safety net" to maintain continuous service during the transition period.

Cris & Christian, Thank you both for taking the time to meet with us today.

I received the renewal Draft copy back from Legal just a few minutes ago. I’ve attached here for your convenience.

Because we are so close to the end of the month, I have also requested to have the JAC/JRO’s access be extended through July 31, 2023. Everything will remain the same as it has been.

I hope to still get everyone moved to Lexis+ by July 1st but now we have a safety net, just in-case.

Sincerely, Holly
