Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Environmental Services Linen Storage Project
Project Scope
Due to advanced equipment age and an increased requirement for storage capacity a replacement high-density storage system has been requested. Our recommendation is for a similar mechanical assist high-density storage unit with the following improvements:
1. Increased storage capacity and capacity utilization
2. Improved dust control
3. Low profile guidance rail to improve clean conditions
4. Improved hanging coat storage
Current Capacities
Bulk linen is stored on standard storage shelving; all sections are 64”H with three openings section. In addition nine carts are used for bulk linen and three carts are used for hanging lab coats. Total capacities:
Bulk Linen: 2,556 cubic feet Lab Coats: 18 feet
Proposed Equipment
Spacesaver DF/MA mechanical assist high-density storage unit complete per the attached drawing (GK-311719 B1) and to consist of:
(5) two-sided movable ranges with 4-post shelving with four openings; overall 74”H x 48”D x 20’L
(2) single-sided fixed ranges with 4-post shelving with four openings; overall 76”H x 24”D x 17’ 6”L
(1) single-sided fixed range with 4-post shelving with one hanging opening and bulk storage opening; 76”H x 24”D x 20’L
