About this file

This is a Request for Bid (RFB) document issued by the City of Houston, Texas, through its Public Works Department, soliciting qualified vendors to provide comprehensive clarifier maintenance, repair, and replacement services. The solicitation encompasses maintenance services, precision repair work, component replacements, inspections, performance testing, and certifications for clarifiers used in municipal wastewater treatment operations. The RFB requires vendors to demonstrate capability in handling multiple clarifier units at various City facilities. Specific response requirements, bid submission deadlines, site visit opportunities, and any scheduled pre-bid conferences are outlined within the document to facilitate vendor preparation and competitive bidding.

The solicitation establishes pricing terms requiring vendors to submit detailed cost proposals for labor, materials, equipment, and certifications associated with the requested services. The contract may include set-asides or preferences for qualified small or minority-owned business enterprises in accordance with City procurement policies. Award decisions will be based on vendor qualifications, experience with similar municipal infrastructure projects, pricing competitiveness, and adherence to technical specifications. The contract term, renewal options, and funding sources for this maintenance and repair initiative are subject to City budget appropriations and operational requirements for Houston Public Works' wastewater treatment infrastructure management.
