SUBJECT: Brand Name Purchase for GSE Autocrib VLM Stacker

1. has requested a Onetime contract for the firm fixed price Brand Name purchase of one (1) each AutoCrib Vertical Stacker with accessories that shall include the following: one (1) each, Brand Name, GSE AutoCrib Vertical Stacker Part Number 719-118 Serial Number VLM180 with one (1) each 18 Vert. ft. Thru 23- 1/2 ft. - with Touchscreen Inventory Control; thirty (30) each VLM Standard Tray Kit Part Number 719-300; one

(1) each Autocrib VLM Part Number 719-302- Add 6" of Vertical Height. state purpose of this contract and where the services will take place. The procurement of the Autocrib, Inc. stacker will allow for the seamless integration with the existing infrastructure without the need for employee training on new equipment and new software to support the new equipment.

2. The Autocrib brand Point of Use (POU) cabinets are used base-wide and are required to store and distribute laptop (eTool) computers to authorized users. Access to the eTools is mission critical and is the primary method for viewing electronic technical publications (tech data). The storage of paper tech data libraries are limited and there are plans to continue removing them at The eTools stored in the Autocrib POU cabinets receive daily updates from the eTool server to ensure each laptop has current and up-to-date version of tech data available to the mechanic and in accordance with The replacement of Autocrib POU cabinets, software, and accessories require use of the Autocrib brand for compatibility to equipment currently in use in multiple buildings. The software used by the equipment is proprietary and cannot be purchased by the Government.

3. Autocrib, the proposed brand name, is the only known brand that can satisfy the Government’s requirement

4. Market research was performed reviewing Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) and System for Award Management (SAM) databases using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code (333249) looking for companies that could provide AutoCrib, Inc. Autocrib VLM Stacker. A review of small businesses to include 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, and Women Owned Small Business was conducted in search of a company that could provide AutoCrib VLM Stacker. There are several third party vendors that can supply this commodity for this acquisition.

5. Due to the proprietary nature of the data, the uniqueness and nature of the requirement, and use of the Autocrib brand base-wide, it has been determined that Due to the proprietary nature of the data, there will not be any short-term opportunities for competition of the workload. The requirements will be periodically synopsized by contracting in order to solicit additional sources in an effort to improve the competitive status.
