About this file
This is a Bid Scope Materials List for a residential rehabilitation project located at 1890 N. R Street in Escambia County, Florida. The scope encompasses a comprehensive home renovation including kitchen fixtures (sink, faucet, range, cooktop, microwave, hood vent, and refrigerator), bathroom fixtures (vanity sink, faucet, tub, shower, toilet, and fan), flooring materials (luxury vinyl plank and carpet), a 50-gallon hot water heater, ceiling fans, various lighting fixtures, roofing materials, gutters, and windows with HVAC systems. The project requires specific brand and model specifications for most items, with notable installations including GE kitchen appliances, Delta bathroom faucets, American Standard and Sterling tub fixtures, Shaw flooring products, and CertainTeed roofing materials. All contractors must be licensed, insured, and in good standing with Escambia County, with new county contractors required to submit a letter of insurability.
The contract allows Escambia County to award line items individually for emergency repairs limited to roofing and septic/sewer services. All bids must be submitted through OPENGOV. Key performance requirements include using new braided supply lines for plumbing, proper finishing techniques for trim and drywall work, square-edged laminate countertops with a 4-inch backsplash, and plywood cabinetry with solid hardwood fronts and no particle board. All electrical appliances must be Energy Star approved with LED bulbs. Contractors are responsible for protecting all surfaces and property from damage and moving furniture, with homeowners retaining responsibility for furniture contents. The specification allows contractors to use products that are like, similar, or equal in value to those listed. Contact Scott Sanchez, NED, at 850-595-0827 or jssanchez@myescambia.com for additional project information.
