Project Description: The 2026 Annual Pavement Rehabilitation Project (CIP 26-001) consists of a comprehensive revitalization of the roadway infrastructure along Redwood Boulevard, spanning from
Rowland Boulevard to Rush Creek Place. The scope of work includes essential pavement preservation and structural enhancements, specifically targeting surface durability through localized digouts, comprehensive mastic crack sealing, and the application of a high-performance Type II slurry seal. To address segments requiring structural restoration, the project includes precise cold planing of existing pavement followed by a new hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay. A key component of this corridor improvement is the installation of a new Class IV protected bike path, designed to enhance multimodal safety through physical separation. The project will be finalized with the complete replacement of traffic striping and pavement markings to ensure high visibility and compliance with current safety standards.
Project plans and other contract documents, including Notice to Contractors and proposal forms, are available from the City of Novato Website, http://www.novato.org, (click on the “Business” tab near the top of the page and select “Doing Business with the City” in the drop-down menu).
