About this file
This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB No. 022-22) issued by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for crane operator training, testing, and recertification services. The ITB seeks to establish multiple contract awards with qualified vendors who can provide comprehensive crane operator certification programs for ODOT employees across various crane types, including mobile crane, service truck crane, articulation crane, digger derrick, telescopic boom, and lattice boom operators.
The contract will be effective from the date of award through December 31, 2026, with vendors responsible for providing both classroom and hands-on training that meets National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) requirements. Vendors must supply all training materials, instructors, and proctors, and will be responsible for processing NCCCO paperwork and exam administration. Pricing will be determined on a per-training basis, with vendors submitting detailed quotes that include training, testing, administrative fees, NCCCO fees, crane rental, and other associated costs. The contract is a multiple-award type, meaning ODOT will accept all responsive bids and consider awarded bidders as primary service providers, though the contract makes no guarantee of specific training class volumes.
