The Contractor shall have sufficient personnel, materials, transportation and an adequate inventory of tools and equipment to perform work at the job site. The Contractor shall be held responsible for the on-site safety, supervision, scheduling, receiving and placement of materials.

The awarded vendor shall have an English-speaking supervisor/representative on the worksite at all times, who shall be thoroughly knowledgeable of all plans, specifications, and other contract documents and has the authority to act in the contractor’s behalf.

Precautions shall be exercised at all times for the protection of persons (including employees) and property. The Contractor, at Contractor’s expense, will provide barricades when work is to be performed in areas traversed by persons or vehicles or when deemed necessary by the MCPS representative.

Storage of tools and equipment on property owned by MCPS is strictly prohibited unless approved by authorized MCPS personnel.

If there are any conflicts not addressed in the Specification, the bidders agree to adhere to advice and technical information provided by Vikane™ manufacturer.

A designee from the School District shall act as the District’s inspector and representative. If during inspection a discrepancy is noted, the fumigation/extermination will not be considered completed until the discrepancy is rectified to the satisfaction of both parties.

PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC

Vendor must either have an employee or uniformed security guard presence on location during the entire tent fumigation process to protect the public. The uniformed security guard must be hired from a security company. If the vendor opts to have an employee present instead, that employee must be in work attire that identifies themselves as an employee of that vendor’s business. The guard/employee shall be highly visible during the entire time the tent is on the building.
