About this file

This document is a Salient Characteristics Special Order (S25053) for a High Performance Spectrofluorometer and Autosampler for the US Geological Survey. The procurement includes one spectrofluorometer with specifications for simultaneous absorbance and fluorescence measurement across 200-800 nm ranges, featuring a 150W xenon arc lamp, double grating monochromator, thermoelectrically cooled CCD detector, and automated software capabilities. The order also includes a temperature-controlled autosampler with two 12-vial racks, 100 vials, and a flow-through cell, along with one day of on-site installation services by a manufacturer-qualified service engineer.

The solicitation (RFQ 140G0125Q0140) is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 334516 with a 1000-employee size standard. The equipment is to be delivered to Troy, NY within 90 days of order receipt. The request for quotes will be issued on 6/10/2025, with written quotes due on 6/16/2025 at 11:00 AM ED. Questions must be submitted to Cynthia Nicanor via email before 6/12/2025. The anticipated contract award date is 8/01/2025, and vendors must be registered in SAM.gov to be eligible. The existing equipment to be replaced is a Horiba Scientific Aqualog-600.

Salient Characteristics Special Order S25053

HIGH PERFORMANCE SPECTROFLUOROMETER AND AUTOSAMPLER

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:

1 ea. Spectrofluorometer:

1. Shall consist of a high-performance spectrofluorometer for the simultaneous measurement of absorbance spectra and fluorescence excitation-emission matrices within the ultraviolet and visible ranges.

2. Fluorescence excitation range shall be at least 200 to 800 nm. Fluorescence emission range shall be at least 250 to 800 nm. Simultaneous absorbance and fluorescence range shall be at least 200 to 800 nm.

3. Light source shall consist of a 150 W replaceable xenon arc lamp.

4. Shall have a double grating excitation monochromator blazed for optimized performance from the deep

UV to the NIR range.
