STATEMENT OF WORK
Generator, ATS, and Electrical Panel Replacement
Kyle Health Center, Kyle, SD
1. Project Description A. Title: Generator, ATS, and Electrical Panel Replacement
B. Location: This project is at the Kyle Health Center, in Kyle, SD.
C. Period of Performance: 406 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
D. Description: The project defined within this Statement of Work is the installation of a new generator, new factory specific enclosure, new conduit, new electrical wire, new automatic transfer switch, new 208/120 three phase switchboards and new 208Y/120 three phase panel boards. The new generator and transfer switch shall be installed outside in the designated area. The new generator shall be sized based on demand readings for the Health Center. The existing Onan 70 GenSet and Onan transfer switch shall be removed and replaced. The existing Siemens switchboards and panel boards shall be removed and replaced. Contractor shall install products following all manufacturers’ specifications. The project will allow for 100% of the Health Center to be protected by the emergency generator.
E. Background: The existing generator is at the end of life and is leaking a trace amount of propane from the manifold. Concentration readings were taken and resulted in a range of 5-425 ppm of Propane, the highest reading coming from the generator room. The switch board and panel boards are outdated and replacement parts are hard to find. The generator shall be moved outside the main building so the existing generator room can be reallocated to a different space.
