About this file
This document is Attachment C to California Department of General Services Contract 1-20-58-47, detailing a trade-in program administered by PCS Mobile, a subsidiary of Route1 Inc. The contract involves the State of California and involves collaboration with multiple technology recycling partners including PlanIT ROI (Denville, NJ), TelRepco (Wallingford, CT), and Proton Computers (Lombard, IL).
The trade-in process involves agencies submitting equipment for evaluation, with PCS Mobile assessing the technology's condition, use state, and recycling potential. Equipment over three years old is typically considered obsolete and slated for recycling rather than repurposing. The program offers secure data wiping services for traded hard drives and provides a credit to the agency's account after final trade-in acceptance. Primary contract management is handled by Brian Ferring (Vice President of Business Development) and Mark Larson (Client Sales Manager), with all initial equipment shipments directed to Route1 Inc.'s Tech Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee for comprehensive evaluation and final value determination.

STATE OF CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES
PROCUREMENT DIVISION
Contract 1-20-58-47 Attachment C - Trade-In
Upon receipt of a trade in request, PCS Mobile will work with the agency to determine the equipment involved, state of use and recycle viability. Once these factors have been evaluated a preliminary trade in value will be presented to the requesting agency for approval. Packaging and shipment will be coordinated and all shipments will be made initially to our parent company, Route1 Inc. facility in Chattanooga, TN where a full evaluation will be completed and a final value determined:
Route1 Inc. Tech Center Attn: Hunter McLaughen / Kay Holt 6031 Century Oaks Drive Chattanooga, Tennessee. 37416 t: (303) 552-3963 | m: (531) 721-9361 E:brian.ferring@pcsmobile.com
Upon final acceptance of the trade in by the requesting agency a credit will be applied to the cognizant account.
Due to the rapidly changing standards for technology, most equipment over 3 years of age is considered obsolete and will be recycled vs. repurposed or refurbished. PCS Mobile and our parent company Route1 work with several certified recycling partners including PlanIT ROI headquartered in Denville, NJ; TelRepco headquartered in Wallingford, CT and Proton Computers in Lombard, IL. Each provide unique capabilities giving PCS excellent resources to work from.
PCS can also provide secure data wiping services for all hard drives included for trade in. Please contact the contract manager or customer service manager if you have questions or need additional information.
