QCM cell/heater gas flow in gas flow out windows MUST be at 70 deg with respect to surface normal
VNA/temp controller
6”
From center of sample to edge of TOM box is 6”
To be safe, I would say that backside of QCM sample/temp cell could be at most 5” from sample surface (white box), preferably less than 5” to not interfere w/ cabling access
Going to 70 deg (80 deg shown in picture) might cut that down a little more as the holder rotates (it is pretty flat at 80 deg)
Sample sits here
Cover to HTC-100 is ~ 4” wide
HTC-100 base is ~5.4” wide
The ruler is showing distance from sample surface to PEM (~4”)
The ruler is showing distance from sample surface to detector (~5.5”)
Beam size at the sample (aperture “32”) is 6.35 mm (top/bottom) but will elongate at 70 deg (left right) to 18.6 mm on the surface
Beam size at the sample (aperture “10”) is 3.75 mm (top/bottom) but will elongate at 70 deg (left right) to 11 mm on the surface
Beam size at cell windows will be marginally larger, depending on how far from the sample they are
Cell design needs to ensure that the mounting of the crystal provides clearance for the beam in-out
(11 mm)
18.6 mm
Aperture 32 (max for MCT) beam size at source 5.08 mm beam size at sample 6.35 mm Aperture 10 beam size at source 3.00 mm beam size at sample 3.75 mm
