The project scope requires the contractor to replace 10 detention doors, including inspection and adjustment of existing door frames, alignment, operation, structural condition, and detention locking mechanisms. The work includes installing 12-gauge galvanized carbon wall wraps at 10 existing cut openings, welding detention frames into new framed openings, security caulking, mortar filling, and installing half-lite doors with food pass and detention hardware. Each opening requires specific components: one Viking V80 or equal manual detention deadbolt, one manual snap lock for food passing doors, one raised pull, one recessed pull, one LCN 2214 concealed or equal closer, four 4-1/2-inch stainless steel detention hinges, and one piece of Lexan. The specifications require all replacement components to be new, commercial-grade, and appropriate for detention environments. The contractor must coordinate all work with facility personnel, comply with security procedures, ensure no security devices are left unsecured at day's end, and report any conditions compromising facility safety or security. Upon completion, the contractor must test all 10 detention doors to verify proper operation, alignment, locking mechanism engagement, hardware operation, and secure closure, with all deficiencies corrected prior to final acceptance. Work scheduling must be coordinated with facility management to minimize operational disruption while maintaining facility security throughout the project.
