About this file
This document is a Design Criteria Attachment (Attachment 6A) dated September 14, 2020, specifically detailing structural design specifications for a 180-foot, 4-leg self-supporting tower (SST) project for the State of California. The document appears to be associated with tower installations at three specific sites: Rattlesnake Peak, Alder Camp, and Big Lagoon, with engineering design performed by Western Utility Telecom, a steel product engineering firm located in Salem, Oregon.
The design criteria specify comprehensive technical requirements for tower construction, including wind load specifications (105 mph without ice, 50 mph with ice), seismic considerations per ASCE-7-16, and detailed antenna and platform loading configurations. The tower design includes multiple levels of microwave and panel antenna placements at various heights (ranging from 100' to 199'), with full work platforms at 180', 160', 140', 120', and 100'. The engineering documentation covers 16 distinct calculation and analysis areas, including overall tower design, anchor bolt calculations, antenna mount analyses, and structural component evaluations, utilizing tnxTower 8.0 software for comprehensive structural analysis.
