About this file
This document is a Technical Specifications sheet for the procurement of an Oxygen/Carbon Dioxide Gas Analyzer for the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center (GFHNRC). The gas analyzer is a direct replacement unit for an existing room calorimeter and must maintain continuity of ongoing research, data comparability, and integration with current measurement and control systems. The specified delivery location is 2420 2nd Avenue North, Grand Forks, ND 58203, with delivery required within 60 days of award. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding federal holidays.
The analyzer must simultaneously measure both oxygen and carbon dioxide using a single unit equipped with a double-layer detector, optical coupler, and dual-beam Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) sensors with paramagnetic alternating pressure methods. Carbon dioxide measuring ranges must support a minimum range of 0–1,000 vpm and maximum range of 0–10,000 vpm with an operating range of 0–1 percent, while oxygen measuring ranges must support a minimum range of 0–0.5 percent and maximum range of 0–100 percent with an operating range of 20–21 percent. The unit must maintain absolute linearity and feature 6 mm or 0.25-inch inlet and outlet connections compatible with stainless steel Swagelok connections. The analyzer must be configured as a 19-inch rack unit with RS-485, PROFIBUS, and SIPROM GA interface compatibility and powered by a 100–120 AC, 48–68 Hz power supply.
