About this file

This is an Environmental Policy document for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD), which governs waste management and environmental compliance across Miami International Airport (MIA), Opa-Locka Executive Airport, and Miami Executive Airport. The policy establishes comprehensive environmental standards and procedures that contractors must follow when providing international waste hauling and disposal services at these facilities. The document outlines mandatory environmental requirements, waste handling protocols, and sustainability practices that all vendors must implement to maintain compliance with state and federal environmental regulations. These requirements are critical operational guidelines that directly impact the scope of work for any contractor selected to provide waste hauling and disposal services under this solicitation.

The policy serves as a binding reference document that all bidders must review and acknowledge their ability to comply with prior to contract award. Contractors must demonstrate understanding of and commitment to adhering to all environmental standards outlined in the policy as a condition of eligibility and contract performance. The environmental requirements detailed in this attachment form an integral part of the solicitation specifications and will be incorporated into the final contract terms. Non-compliance with the environmental policy standards during contract execution may result in corrective action requirements, penalties, or contract termination.
