About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of a KingFisher™ Flex 96 DW Head and Heating Block processor for an aquatic animal health research unit. The equipment is required to improve high-throughput DNA/RNA extractions from pathogens affecting aquatic species including shrimp, crawfish, crustaceans, and finfish, supporting critical research in the American aquaculture industry.

The specifications include a benchtop instrument with medium to high throughput, capable of processing 24 or 96 samples per run using various plate formats (PCR, skirted, deep-well) with volumes ranging from 20-5,000 μL. Key features include BindIt software for customizable protocols, heating/cooling ranges from 5°C above ambient to 115°C, and standalone functionality. The procurement includes VWR pricing and a comprehensive AB assurance plan covering installation, training, on-site response, maintenance, remote monitoring, and priority technical support.
