About this file
This document contains a single source justification for a contract award under simplified acquisition procedures. The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 15 required emergency water and mold removal services from Disaster Plus at their Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy facility in Ladsen, South Carolina. On February 1, 2022, approximately 220 square feet of ceiling tiles were deconstructed and 70 linear feet of flooring was cut due to flooding from a malfunctioning sprinkler system. Disaster Plus was able to dispatch six trucks and technicians within one day to perform the necessary remediation work to prevent further damage to equipment and products in the facility. Due to the emergency nature of the work, only local vendors were contacted and Disaster Plus was able to perform the required services the quickest. The contracting officer certified the justification and purchase in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b).
