About this file
This solicitation requests proposals for a High Angle Infrared Signature Measurement System to include a mount, gimbal, MWIR camera, laser rangefinder, visible camera, calibration blackbody, inertial navigation system, and data acquisition laptop. The system must mount to Bell 206, 206L, 407, 212, and 412 helicopters. It must have 360-degree azimuth and elevation ranges of +/-180 degrees, a variable slew rate up to 150 degrees per second, and support MWIR, visible, and laser transmission windows. Proposals are due by the date specified in the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for evaluation by the Naval Research Laboratory against requirements for signature measurement from high angles on rotary-wing aircraft.
The document provides detailed technical requirements for the system's subcomponents and describes required training, documentation, warranty, and export markings. Related brand name justifications support procurement of specific MWIR and calibration blackbody models.
