About this file

This Sources Sought Notice (RFI 70Z03826IE0000001) outlines detailed requirements for a Conventional Aircraft Tow Tractor for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center. The tractor must have a drawbar pull of 14,000 lbs, an electric battery 80v system with 66kWh capacity, and specific dimensional constraints including a maximum length of 180 inches and height of 8 feet. Key specifications include 4-wheel drive, hydrostatic steering, an operator's cab with air conditioning, and comprehensive lighting and safety features.

The USCG requires a first article delivery within 120-180 days after receipt of order, with the initial quantity being one unit that must pass testing by the Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) team. The tractor must have specific operational characteristics such as two forward speeds, one reverse speed, a white chassis, ATA airport markings, a back-up camera, fire extinguisher, and include both hardcopy and electronic operation, maintenance, and parts manuals. Delivery and final acceptance are contingent on passing thorough technical evaluation by USCG engineering specialists.
