1. Real ID Act information:
As of 2005, the following guidelines apply in order to enter TRAVIS AFB.
CA Residents
1. CA driver licenses and ID cards without any markings (Gold Bear or Federal Limits Apply) in the upper left hand corner are sufficient for identity proofing without supplemental sources until 1 October 2021.
2. CA driver licenses and ID cards with a gold bear in the upper left corner and are considered sufficient for identity proofing without supplemental sources indefinitely.
3. CA driver licenses and ID cards with "Federal Limits Apply" in the upper left corner is not considered sufficient for identity proofing without supplemental sources. Supplemented sources required are:
• An unexpired U.S. passport or passport card.
• An original or certified true copy of a birth certificate issued by a State, territory, possession, or the District of Columbia bearing a raised seal.
• A Certificate of U.S. Naturalization (Form N-550 or N-570).
• A Consular Record of Birth Abroad.
• Other documents as established by DoD Component-level policy.
• Permanent Resident Card/Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551).
• A foreign passport with a temporary (I-551) stamp or temporary (I-551) printed notation on a machine readable immigrant visa.
• U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) uses either an I-551 stamp or a temporary I-551 printed notation on a machine-readable immigrant visa
• An Immigration and Naturalization Service Employment Authorization Document (Form I-
766) that contains a photograph.
• USCIS issues the Employment Authorization Document to aliens granted temporary employment authorization in the United States.
• The card contains the bearer’s photograph, fingerprint, card number, Alien number, birth
• date, and signature, along with a holographic film and the DHS seal. The expiration date is located at the bottom of the card.
• Merchant Mariner Cards/Credentials. Issued by Department of Homeland Security/United
States Coast Guard.
• The U.S. Coast Guard New Merchant Mariner credential.
• Personal Identity Verification (PIV) or Federally-Issued Personal Identity Verification -1
Cards (Personal Identification Verification) issued by the Federal Government.
• Personal Identity Verification -I card (PIV-Interoperable) Issued by Non-Federal
Government entities.
• Department of Homeland Security “Trusted Traveler Cards” (Global entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
• Border Crossing Card (BCC also referred to as DSP-150).
• U.S. Certificate of Naturalization or Certificate of Citizenship (Form N-550) and U.S.
Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551).
• U.S. Refugee travel document or other travel document or evidence of immigration status issued by DHS containing a photograph.
• A Foreign Government Issued Passport.
• Veterans Identification Card.
• Native American Tribal Photo Identification.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Social Security Card.
• Voter registration card.
• Original or certified true copy of a birth certificate issued by a State, territory, or the District of Columbia and bearing a raised sea
However, Missouri and Illinois residents still can use their passport, passport card or military ID as an alternate form of identification for domestic flights and accessing federal facilities.
