About this file

This document outlines the minimum specifications for an automated fiber analyzer to be used by the USDA Agricultural Research Service Grazinglands Research Laboratory in El Reno, Oklahoma. The analyzer must be equal or comparable to the Ankom Delta Automated Model and capable of performing neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, and crude fiber determinations using filter bag technology. It must have computer controls for easy method selection and automated delivery of solutions and rinse water. An internal pump system is required for chemical delivery to eliminate handling. The unit must allow batch processing of twenty-four samples at a time and have dimensions of 56.61 cm by 38.1 cm by 58.42 cm to fit on the laboratory benchtop and allow for maintenance. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 12805B23Q0742 for fiber analyzers and in vitro digestibility incubators from the Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Plains Area.
