The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is hosting a virtual and in-person Proposers' Day on June 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM EDT in Arlington, VA. Advance registration is required by June 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET through https://solutions.arpa-h.gov/events. The event is free to attend and serves to introduce the IGoR program goals, clarify ARPA-H program logistics and IGoR-specific objectives, collect questions for an FAQ document, and promote teaming arrangements among organizations. The IGoR program aims to create an AI-enabled interoperable research ecosystem comprising four technical areas: TA1 (Digital Twins of Disease), TA2 (New Science Engine), TA3 (Interoperable Experimental Procedures), and TA4 (Experimental Marketplace). The program will operate over three sequential phases—Phase I (18 months) focusing on component development and baseline cycle time with one disease, Phase II (18 months) emphasizing integration and 4x cycle time improvement, and Phase III (24 months) targeting 10x cycle time improvement across two diseases with three or more integrated laboratories. The event format includes ARPA-H technical presentations, Question & Answer sessions, in-person poster sessions, and "lightning talks" for highlighting technical capabilities. Interested parties may submit teaming profiles via the IGoR Teaming Profile Form at https://arpa-h.gov/explore-funding/programs/igor/teaming. This Special Notice is for information purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation; attendance is voluntary and not required for future proposal submission. PROPOSERS’ DAY
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is hosting a Proposers’ Day (PD) in support of the Intelligent Generator of Research (IGoR) program. The Proposers’ Day will be held virtually and in-person on June 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) in Arlington, VA. Advance registration is required (https://solutions.arpa-h.gov/events).
PROPOSERS’ DAY GOALS
• Introduce the IGoR program goals and vision to the research community;
• Clarify the logistics of an ARPA-H program generally as well as IGoR-specific objectives and milestones;
• Collect relevant questions which will be maintained on a frequently asked questions
(FAQ) document at (https://arpa-h.gov/explore-funding/programs/igor/faqs); and
• Encourage and promote teaming arrangements among organizations that have relevant expertise, research facilities, and capabilities for executing research and development responsive to the IGoR program goals.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The Intelligent Generator of Research (IGoR) program aims to eliminate longstanding inefficiencies in research and accelerate the development of effective therapies for complex diseases by creating an AI-enabled interoperable research ecosystem. IGoR would develop:
1) mechanistic disease models that encode causal biological relationships across scales, 2) an AI orchestration layer that identifies knowledge gaps and designs optimal experiments,
3) a layered protocol architecture that enables any qualified laboratory to execute the same experiment reproducibly, and 4) a distributed marketplace of validated laboratories that execute standardized protocols and return gold-standard data. Together, these components form a cycle of hypothesis generation, experimentation, and model refinement that enables researchers to create validated knowledge at least 10x more rapidly than conventional approaches. Ultimately, IGoR will empower researchers at every level to pursue bold, unconventional research directions that are currently too slow, too complex, or too resource intensive.

TECHNICAL APPROACH
The IGoR program comprises four technical areas (TAs):
• TA1: Digital Twins of Disease. Capture disease dynamics, hierarchy, and prior research.
• TA2: New Science Engine. Explore models and generate hypotheses.
• TA3: Interoperable Experimental Procedures. Define procedures using multi-layered abstractions.
• TA4: Experimental Marketplace. Automatically perform fully specified experiments.
The IGoR program will be accomplished over 3 sequential program Phases. During Phase I (18 months), performers will conduct component development, establish baseline cycle time, integrate 2 lab teams with 80% concordance, and study 1 disease. During Phase II (18 months), performers will focus on integration and cross-team interoperability, 4x improvement in cycle time with 2 lab teams with 90% concordance. During Phase III (24 months), performers will scale and generalize to a second disease area, establish a 10x improvement of cycle time, integrate 3+ labs including across teams with 90% concordance, and focus on 2 diseases.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Participants must register in advance through the registration website (https://solutions.arpa-h.gov/events). Attendance may be in person or virtual, and registration for either attendance is free of charge. The registration deadline for the Proposers’ Day is 12:00 PM (noon) EDT on June 7, 2026. No same-day registration will be allowed. In-person registration must be confirmed by ARPA-H. If demand exceeds venue capacity, organizations may be asked to limit in-person attendees, as determined by the ARPA-H Program Manager. Once in-person capacity is reached, registrants will be offered a link to attend virtually. All PD attendees (virtual and in-person) will receive an email with the webinar link after registering. This event is only open to registered participants. The event, particularly with regards to in-person participation, is intended for potential proposers, commercialization partners and other stakeholders. Any changes to the registration deadline will be posted at SAM.gov.
EVENT FORMAT
The ARPA-H IGoR Proposers’ Day will be an in-person/virtual hybrid event, hosted on June 9, 2026, in Arlington, VA.
The IGoR Proposers’ Day will include presentations by ARPA-H, including technical presentations covering the IGoR program as well as Question & Answer sessions during which ARPA-H will respond to questions from participants. IGoR ARPA-H will collect participants’ questions and make responses available in the FAQ section of the IGoR website (https://arpa-h.gov/explore-funding/programs/igor/faqs). Poster sessions (in-person only) will highlight current research efforts from potential proposers and foster potential teaming arrangements. Potential performers will also have the opportunity to highlight their technical capabilities for teaming during “lightning talks”. Due to limited space, registration https://solutions.arpa-h.gov/events https://arpa-h.gov/explore-funding/programs/igor/faqs does not guarantee a poster presentation or lightning talk. Confirmation will be sent by the IGoR Team.
TEAMING PROFILES
Interested parties are invited to submit a teaming profile including contact email addresses, physical location, relevant technical areas (TA), and two fields covering (1) “current research focus area”, and (2) “what we seek in teaming partners”. Respondents are encouraged to include technical competencies, team capabilities, team composition, research areas of interest, unique facilities and other capabilities as they relate to the program, desired technical/other competencies sought from other potential team partners, and whether the potential proposer is interested in leading or contributing to a TA proposal.
All teaming profiles must be submitted via the IGoR Teaming Profile Form (https://arpa-h.gov/explore-funding/programs/igor/teaming). The teaming profile will be updated regularly and made available on the program's teaming profile site. Specific content, communications, networking, and team formation are the sole responsibility of participants.
