About this file

This is a Vendor Accessibility Checklist document that establishes digital accessibility requirements for state and local contract opportunities. The checklist contains five core questions that vendors must address regarding their commitment to and compliance with digital accessibility standards. Vendors are required to demonstrate whether they maintain an accessibility statement of commitment, confirm that documents and digital content will meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A and AA success criteria, and ensure PDF documents comply with PDF/UA standards. Additionally, vendors must explain their assessment methodologies for verifying compliance, which may include automated tools, manual testing, and screen reader software such as JAWS, JawsInspect, or CommonLook. Vendors must also commit to providing compliance reports for products they create and furnish contact information for an accessibility officer within their organization.

The document does not specify pricing terms, contract duration, award dates, or renewal options, as it functions as a supplementary requirements checklist rather than a primary solicitation document. Instead, it serves as a compliance verification tool to ensure that vendors meet established accessibility standards for digital content and services. The checklist references the Vendor Accessibility Guide and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 as resources for vendor reference, indicating that detailed compliance information and technical standards are available through supplementary documentation to support vendor preparation and response to accessibility requirements.
