About this file

This is a Vendor Accessibility Checklist for the Colorado Small & Medium Building Energy Efficiency & Decarbonization Initiative. The checklist establishes digital accessibility requirements that vendors must meet to qualify for participation in this state contract opportunity. Vendors are required to respond to five key questions addressing their accessibility practices and capabilities, including whether they maintain a written accessibility commitment statement, whether their digital products and documents will comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A and AA standards, and whether PDF documents will meet PDF/UA compliance requirements. The checklist also requires vendors to explain their compliance assessment methodologies, such as use of automated tools, manual testing, or screen reader software like JAWS or CommonLook.

Additional requirements include providing compliance reports documenting the accessibility of delivered products and designating a specific company contact with direct responsibility for addressing accessibility questions. The checklist references the Vendor Accessibility Guide and WCAG 2.1 standards as supporting resources. This accessibility requirement reflects Colorado's commitment to ensuring that vendors delivering services or digital content under this contract meet applicable accessibility standards for individuals with disabilities.
