Appendix A

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR SERVICE WORK ITEMS

ACTIVITY ITEMS– TASK DESCRIPTIONS:

Task 1 – Felling, Yarding/Skidding, Decking, and Removal:

Applies to CLIN 0001.

Sawtimber and non-sawtimber trees cut will be whole tree yarded to the landing, processed, decked, and removed.

All live and dead non-sawtimber trees not marked with orange paint above and below stump height (in accordance with Appendix B, K-C.3.5.6#), and meeting the diameter specifications listed in Table A, are designated for treatment.

Non-sawtimber will be removed in all Units.

Mechanized product removal.

No biomass material will be treated.

Trees will be skidded with limbs and tops attached, and processed at the landings.

Task 2 – Slash Treatment:

Applies to CLIN 0001.

All Units: Slash will be piled at the landing. All requirements in H.23 Slash Treatment apply.

Task 3 – Pipe Install:

Applies to CLIN 0002.

28 inch x 20 inch squash diameter by 30 feet in length corrugated metal pipe. Installed on NFSR 536 at mile post 0.2.

Performance standards are outlined in Appendix C, Specification T-815 Culvert Installation.

Task 4 – Road Maintenance:

Applies to CLIN 0003.

Post-haul, (Pre-haul and During-haul, if awarded), road maintenance shall be performed to the standards and specifications in Appendix C, Road Maintenance Requirements.
