About this file

This is Amendment 1 to an Invitation for Bid issued by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Procurement Office for Pickens Grounds Maintenance services. The solicitation calls for comprehensive grounds maintenance including weekly mowing and edging of designated grassy areas during the growing season (April-October), with twice-yearly cutting for all other areas. Additional services include grass clipping removal, weed eradication through manual treatment, edging and trimming of plant beds, curbs, walks, and trees, disease and insect control with vendor-supplied materials, and fertilization at appropriate intervals. Shrub and bed maintenance requirements include weekly weeding, hedge trimming to maintain manicured appearance, annual mulch replenishment in fall, and fertilization. Appearance measures require removal of litter and debris from landscape areas, parking areas, and ditches, with all debris disposed of off-site by the contractor. The solicitation required submission of offers by June 7, 2022 at 2:30 PM, with award posted on June 8, 2022. Questions from offerors were to be received according to provisions outlined in the original solicitation document.

The file provides no specific pricing terms, set-aside information, incumbent contractor details, or funding amounts within the amendment itself. The amendment appears to address questions received from potential offerors regarding the scope of work and specifications, with responses provided in question-and-answer format. Offerors were required to submit one copy of their offer online through the South Carolina procurement website and sign the solicitation cover page, agreeing to hold their offer open for a minimum of thirty calendar days after the opening date. All awards, amendments, and related notices were to be posted on the procurement website at http://www.procurement.sc.gov.
