SECTION C- DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK
FOR
RELOCATION AND SECURITY UPGRADE TO SERVICE ROAD GATE
Statement of Work/Specification (AGAR 452.211-72)(FEB 1988) The contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services facilities (except as otherwise specified), to perform the Statement of Work/Specifications referenced in Section J.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The service road gate is located on the North side of the facility. The scope of work is to install a new gate 60 feet away from the gate’s current location; install a total of 75-feet new fencing from current gate location through the new gate and connecting to existing fencing; and provide security upgrade (motorized gate with a key pad and two operators) to the new gate. The site is located at USFS/PSW Forest Fire Laboratory, 4955 Canyon Crest Drive, Riverside, CA 92507.
Contractor shall have knowledge in installing security fencing and gate automation.
Contractor shall provide and install safety loops:
· One free exit loop with detector
· Two safety loops with detector
· One shadow loop with detector Contractor will require mounting a safety/stop sign which will be furnished by the Government. The sign will be mounted on a post and placed by exit loop in asphalt at a height of 6’, at a location specified by the Government.
Contractor shall provide all supplies, equipment, labor, materials, within the Governments specifications, to complete the following work.
Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with current standards and guidelines in the fencing industry. OSHA safety standards shall be enforced for all work.
All labor rates for workers shall meet the federal prevailing wage labor rates, under the Davis-Bacon Act.
NEW GATE AND FENCE:
Provide and install approximately a total of 75’ commercial grade ornamental iron security fencing, 6’ height, one (22’ wide) double swing gate and two (6”x6”x1/4”) wall gate post. Specifications are: 1 ½” x 14 gage top and bottom rails, ¾” x 16 gage vertical pickets. All fencing needs to match existing and be painted using Behr blade PEC-33 or similar to that is agreed upon by the Government.
Contractor shall provide and install mag lock – model#1300GS magnetic gate lock or equivalent on the swing gate.
Fabricate or purchase bracket to adapt for the double swing gate application.
Contractor shall supply and install one (1) knox box in the new gate, so the gate can be opened in case of an emergency.
Contractor shall provide and install one (24”x24”x12”) and one (24”x24”x24”) concrete pads framed and with rebar. Contractor shall saw, cut and trench approximately 50’x8” wide and 10” deep asphalt. Use schedule 80 PVC electrical conduit to run both line voltage to operators and low voltage to keypad from disconnect. Contractor shall in case all conduit and trenches with concrete, up to grade and finish.
SECURITY UPGRADE:
Contractor shall provide and install:
Two (2) Elite CSW200UL ½ HP swing gate operators with battery backup unit or equivalent to One – Ramset LCD-KP keypad or equivalent, mounted on gooseneck. Gooseneck pole will be placed at a location by Forest Service. It shall be mounted so as the keypad is 48” above grade. Contractor shall provide cut sheets for all equipment.
The Government will provide two (2) – 20 amp dedicated circuits with two (2) fused disconnects. Conductors will be sized to maintain maximum 3% voltage drop for a continuous 5 amp current at 120 volts.
The Government will provide one (1) 18” x 24” stop sign. Contractor shall provide 2” metal pipe, secure sign on pipe and mount in concrete so the bottom of the sign is 5’ above grade at a location specified by the Government.
