Notes:

1 . Includes all work (including excavation and backfill) above MSE wall and underdroin system. Includes laying back of slope above top of MSE wall to accommodate work below top of wall and excavation required to place riprap. Excludes excavation required to construct MSE wall and underdrain system. To conform to to 704.06 Unclassified Borrow, with the exception of exclusion of material greater than 3" in maximum dimension within the upper 12" of road surface. May be used as structural backfill if conforms to Specification 704.08 Select Granular Backfill or approved by CO.

Includes grading to achieve final vertical and horizontal alignment within the project limits (0+25 to 1+00).

Finished Surface

2. Includes all fill material not used to construct the retaining wall or within the 6" directly below crossing, as shown in the details below.

3. Includes all excavation required to construct MSE wall and underdrain system (from top of wall down). Includes laying back of slope below top of wall.

4. Includes all backfill required to construct underdrain system and all material behind wall to the backslope and front of wall (from top of wall elevation down). Excludes material within the wall cells as this is incidental to MSE retaining wall construction. Includes 6" below concrete crossing.

5. Material within MSE retaining wall cells.

6. Gabion rock, baskets and connecting hardware are considered incidental to retaining wall construction. Wall shall be constructed according the the Hilfiker Gabion Faced MSE Construction Guide.

7. In excess of what is needed for work. CO will designate a place for excess fill material placement within 300 feet of site limits if not used.

8. Includes fin core sheet drain, collector pipes, outlet pipes and all incidental work.

9. All work incidental to construction of concrete crossing including reinforcing bars, formwork, placing, finishing and curing concrete is included based on cubic yards of concrete in place.
