SECTION 01010

SUMMARY OF WORK AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS

PART 1

GENERAL

1.01 SUMMARY

A. Description of Work: The work is comprised of Providing and Delivering construction materials as per the attached materials list and specifications to the Camino Real Ranger Station, Taos County, Penasco, New Mexico.

B. Location: The delivery and storage point under this contract is located at the Camino Real Ranger Station, Taos County, Penasco, New Mexico.

1.02 REFERENCES

A. Refer to the attached specifications for appropriate technical references.

B. The word ‘Contractor’ shall be taken to mean the material supplier in these specifications and other documents related to this contract.

1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE

A. Code and Standards: The work shall comply with codes and standards applicable to each type of work and as listed in the individual sections of these specifications. This Contract incorporates materials, applications, and tests by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.

B. Conflict: Where a conflict occurs between reference documents and project specifications, the project specifications shall govern. The Contracting Officer’s Representative shall be notified in the event of such a conflict.

1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

A. Delivery: The Contractor shall protect products, incorporated into the work, from damage while in transit to the site.

B. Handling: The Contractor shall load and unload products in such manner that protects them from damage until accepted on job site by the Government.

1.05 PROJECT/SITE CONDITIONS

A. Access to the Work: Contractor shall coordinate with Government for all access to the site.

1.06 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING

A. Requirements: The Contractor shall be responsible for operations necessary to complete the work, including coordination with the Contracting Officer’s Representative, relative to the Government’ requirements. Work shall be scheduled in such a manner as to avoid delays in overall construction and permit proper installation of work.

1.07 MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS

A. Supplier shall submit a complete material list detailing what material sizes, quantities, types, brands, etc. for Government review prior to completing the order for delivery.

1.08 CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE AND PROGRESS CHARTS:

Contractor shall deliver all products to the project site approximately the week of April 19, 2010. The exact delivery date shall be coordinated with the COR

PRODUCTS

2.01 SPECFIC PRODUCTS

A.

Products shall conform to those listed in the attached material list and the specifications. Any ‘brand’ name may be substituted with an approved equal pending review of submitted pre-delivery lists, cut sheets, etc., and subsequent approval by the Government.

PART 3

EXECUTION

3.01 PROTECTION

A. Damage: Repair of damage to materials resulting from loading, transit, and offloading shall be the responsibility of the Contractor and shall not be initiated prior to notification of the COR. Any material damaged beyond repair as determined by the COR shall be replaced immediately by the contractor.
