Site Visit Questions

Reminders

1. RFP’s need to be all-inclusive; include all installation/labor costs, shipping/delivery expenses, etc.

2. Multiple proposals can be submitted that include different options

3. Question deadline: Sept. 10th, 12pm (noon) MST

General Questions

1. Do we have a place that centrally controls all the Crestron systems for the building? NO

2. Do all the rooms utilize the same network? YES

3. Is there WIFI?

a. We do not have it yet, but all solutions need to have the ability to utilize it

North/South Platte

1. Type of Phone System: VOIP

a. We are moving towards a Shortel VOIP phone system

2. Crestron control system:

a. We want the same capabilities that we have now; one fixed and one detachable Crestron control panel

3. Does the South projector have to match the type of projector that is in the North? NO

4. Do the wall plates need upgraded? YES, upgraded to include HDMI inputs

a. The North wall plate needs to have two (2) XLR inputs

b. The South wall plate does not need XLR inputs

c. The North podium runs on XLR and is plugged into the North input panel

5. Do we need microphone equipment? NO

6. Camera capabilities?

a. We need 2 VTC- grade fixed cameras with PTZ; one for the audience and one for the presenter

7. How many speakers are there?

a. There are a minimum of four (4) speakers in both the north and south rooms, for a minimum total of eight (8)

b. These are located in the ceiling above the tiles

c. These do NOT need updated

8. Do we want to replace the South projector screen? NO

a. We have decided that the 4:3 screen is sufficient for our needs.

9. Do we need to have any integration of TV? NO

a. The VBrick does NOT need to be integrated

Rio Grande

1. Quality of Camera?

a. 1080p

b. We want a fixed camera with PTZ mounted on the same wall as the TV’s, placed in an optimal location

2. Can the polycom HDX 7000 equipment be reused? YES

a. Government employees will disassemble the equipment cart

3. Where would the interactive touchscreen (line item 04) go?

a. It would replace the existing smart board on the East wall of the room

4. Wireless solution?

a. We want the ability to connect wirelessly to the equipment

5. What does the lighting need to cover?

a. The table and smart board area, not the gallery seating

6. Type of codec connections?

a. Point-to-point and multi-point connections

7. Do we need to integrate cable TV? NO

a. The VBrick does not need to be integrated

Big Thompson Training Room

1. Is there a need to integrate user presentations? NO

2. How many speakers are there?

a. There are four (4) located in the ceiling above the tiles

3. Does the screen need replaced? NO

4. Where should the Crestron control panel be located?

a. The panel should be kept in the same location (close to the presenter)

Poudre:

1. Does the room have sound? NO

2. Does it need sound? NO

3. Is there a wall plate? NO

4. Does the room need a wall plate? YES with HDMI input

AFM Conference Room

1. Does the room need a wall plate? YES with HDMI input

2. Wireless Capabilities?

a. We would like to connect wirelessly to the TV, which should function as an extension of a computer (serve as a large display)

3. Are speakers needed? NO

a. TV has speakers

4. Does there need to be satellite distribution to other places? NO
