AMENDMENT 0001 to SOLICITATION No. AG-82X9-S-11-0026 TITLE: Administrative Site Shop Remodel, RGNF
Questions and Clarifications:
1. With regards to the foam to be applied to the roof, are you more concerned with total thickness of the foam or are you looking at the total R Value of the foam installed?
Answer: Both. See page 07200-3; Top of page “Properties ASTM test SI units US Units.
2. What is the density of the foam you are looking for on the roof? Most roofs are coated with a 3 lb foam, but it wasn't spec'd.
Answer: SOW – Apply 3-1/2” thick spray polyurethane foam (SPF) system on the roof per specs (closed cell type). Density (sprayed-in-place) D-1662-24-48kg/M3 1.5-3.0lbs/ft3. R-value is equal to approx. 5.6 – 6.2 per sq. inch min.
3. In Option 3, will it be a 1,200 lb lift or a 12,000 lb lift. A 1,200 lb lift won't do much for the men in the shop when it comes to lifting vehicles.
Answer: Two Post Lift 12,000 lbs. John Bean Model 42012SS (12 Ft.)
4. Will you require any type of soils report or compaction test by an engineering firm prior to placement of the concrete slabs?
Answer: The government will require compaction of existing soil with a mechanical compactor. Min. 4 passes. CO, or designated COR, must be present during this operation.
5. Will you require any air entrainment in the concrete when it is poured?
Answer: Yes, 6-8%
6. Page 7 of 9 shows only one side that gets metal besides the roof. Is that drawing correct?
Answer: Yes. No siding on opposite side or the side next to the existing building. New roof should be constructed so that water does not enter between the existing building and the new building.
7. You show several outbuildings on page 9 of 9, that states match the color of the building, but they are not mentioned in the SOW.
Answer: Correct, not mentioned in the SOW. See page 09912-1; Summary 1.1 A
8. The SOW gives spec's for an EPDM roof, but doesn't specify where. Is there a requirement for this type of roof?
Answer: See amended section 07531. Install roofing coating system over the existing shop area.

9. Are anchor bolts to be set in Concrete for Base Bid to Accommodate Option No. 2
Answer: It is anticipated that award of Option 2 will necessitate concrete anchors. In the event the option is not exercised at the time of award, a modification may be incorporated to address this issue.
10. Local Redi Mix companies say that they can only produce 4,500 PSI ready mix. Is this okay?
Answer: No.
11. Can you provide information for equipment lift?
Answer: The Government Furnished lift is a two post lift, John Bean Model 42012SS.
Known authorized installer is Colorado Automotive Equipment Repair, Denver, Colorado

12. Will the 5 GFI outlets for the exterior be added to the scope of the electrical upgrade or be bid as part of the optional work?
Answer: scope of the electrical upgrade
13. Do you want the 5 GFI outlets to be put on separate timers, or on a single timer?
Answer: Separate
14. Can we locate the new instant hot water heater in the same location as the current HW heater or do you want it in the restroom.
Answer: yes
