SUMMARY OF WORK
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 SUMMARY
A. Work for this project consists of the following:
Install new vinyl double pane windows, Jeld-Wen replacement windows, or equal, Color: Desert Sand, throughout the building.
Replace broken window on entrance door on the north side of the shop.
Remove and replace existing concrete east of the building 25’x32’x6” (Area
2), with 5000 psi reinforced concrete.
Install a concrete equipment apron 25’x62’x6” on the south of the building
(Area 1), with 5000 psi reinforced concrete.
Install a concrete equipment apron 25’x7’x6” on the south of the building
(Area 3), with 5000 psi reinforced concrete.
Remove roof mouted photovoltaic panels in the beginning of this project and reinstall after roof coating is completed.
Apply 3-1/2” thk spray polyurethane foam (SPF) system on the roof per specs.
Apply 1-1/2” thk spray polyurethane foam (SPF) system on the inside of the existing roll up doors. Add new door seals on bottom & sides.
Adjust the roll up doors for smooth operation after application of SPF coating.
Paint the exterior of the building, all surfaces and all building indicated on drawings. Color shall be American Building Components (ABC) Saddle Tan for the light color portions and Koko Brown for the dark portions of the building, or equal (reference www.abcmetalroofing.com ).
Power wash the interior shop walls and floor.
Re-wire the interior electrical of the building to meet current state code. Install a 100 amp, 20 circuit subpanel to existing electrical system. Secure security lights at corner of building prior to insulating with polyurethane foam.
Install a stainless steel covered eye wash station on the inside north wall.
Install an on demand hot water heater and exhaust fan in the bathroom with the room vent venting through the outside wall.
Seal all the concrete cracks in the existing interior shop floor and paint with an epoxy floor covering.
Replace damaged, clean & paint ceiling panels in shop area.
Add new hot water line to the existing shop sink on the north east side of the shop.
Concrete foundation for #1, Battery Storage, and #3, Fleet Locker, buildings will not require patching under this contract. Only paint is required.
All new to old (existing) concrete will be in accordance with Sheet 5 of 9, Concrete Detail. See Joint Detail.

SUMMARY OF WORK
(Option #1) Install an pre engineered steel building equipment/car port on the east side of the building 25’x32’x16’ eave height.
(Option#2) Install vent to flammable container to the outside. Relace existing outside outlets on the south side of the shop to 20 amp GFI outlets. Install two
(2) 20 amp GFI outlets with seven (7) day timers on the north side of the building. Install three (3) 20 amp GFI outlets with seven day timers on the west side of the shop building. Add two additional photovoltaic panels to the current array (Reference Attachment No. 6 for information on the existing system).
(Option#3) Install a government issued 12000 lb equipment lift in the first second bay using achor bolts. Install 2 Air/Elec drop lines on each side of the new equipment lift. Remove the gas ceiling heater in the second bay and cap all lines. Remove two of the ceiling lights in the first second bay that will conflict with the new equipment lift. Add two (2) banks (8 foot each) of ceiling lights, one on each side of the lift. Each light fixture will have four (4) fluorescent lights.
1.2 LOCATION
A. This project address is 291 CR 26 which is located three miles west of Monte Vista Colorado on US 160 behind the Best Western Movie Mannor Hotel and is known as the Administration Site, specifically the Fleet Shop.
1.3 GENERAL SITE CONDITIONS AND WEATHER
A. The elevation of the site is approximately 8,700 feet above mean sea level. The
B. In-depth soil surveys have not been performed; The Contractor should expect to encounter such rock during excavation and grubbing operations. Blasting of rocks will not be permitted without special permission.
C. In-depth water table surveys have not been performed; however, if water is encountered during excavation, the Contractor shall perform adequate dewatering to keep the excavation free from water and dispose of the water without damage to property.
1.4 USE OF PREMISES
A. General: Contractor shall have full use of premises for construction operations, including use of Project site, during construction period. Contractor's use of premises is limited only by the Government's right to perform work or to retain other contractors on portions of Project.
B. Contractor shall at all times conduct his operations to ensure the least inconvenience to the public and employees. Fleet Shop closures will be permitted, when required, upon written approval of the Contracting Officer (CO).

C. Confine storage of materials to areas as approved by the CO.
D. Contractor shall provide adequate signing and barricades and take necessary safety measures to protect the public during all construction operations. Contractor shall minimize disturbance of all undisturbed areas.
E. Existing Utilities: Notify CO and utility companies of proposed locations and times for excavation.
1. Contractor shall be responsible for locating and preventing damage to known utilities. If damage occurs, repair utility at no additional expense to the Government.
2. Interruption of Existing Utility Service: Notify CO, 48 hours in advance of any interruption of existing utilities.
1.5 MEALS AND LODGING
A. Meals and lodging are commercially available in the City of Monte Vista within three miles of the construction site. Meals or lodging will not be available at Forest Service facilities.
1.6 CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE
A. The specified construction sequence for this project shall be approved by the CO.
B. Depending on conditions, normal fire restrictions may apply to activities associated with this project.
1.7 FIELD VERIFICATION
A. Field verify all new and existing dimensions affecting the work of this contract before ordering products.
1.8 PERMITS
A. Special permits for electrical work or any other permits required by County, State, or Federal laws or regulations shall be the resposability of, and obtained by the Contractor.

ACRYLIC ELASTOMERIC ROOF COATING
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 SUMMARY
A. This Section includes elastomeric acrylic coating system.
1.2 SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: For each product indicated.
B. Samples: For each product included in the roof coating system.
C. Maintenance data.
1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Installer Qualifications: A qualified firm that is approved and authorized, to install manufacturer's product and that is eligible to receive manufacturer's warranty.
B. Source Limitations: The coating system shall be Thermo-Flex 750, or equal. Refer-ence Attachment 7 for physical properties required.
1.4 PROJECT CONDITIONS
A. Weather Limitations: Proceed with installation only when existing and forecasted weather conditions permit roofing system to be installed according to manufacturer's written instructions and warranty requirements.
1.5 WARRANTY
A. Special Warranty: Manufacturer's standard form, without monetary limitation, in which manufacturer agrees to repair or replace components of coating system that fail in materials or workmanship within specified warranty period. Failure includes roof leaks.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS

1. Available Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, manufac-turers offering products that may be incorporated into the Work include, but are not limited to, the manufacturers specified or approved equal.

2.2 AUXILIARY MATERIALS
A. General: Auxiliary materials recommended by coating system manufacturer for in-tended use and compatible with Acrylic Coating Systems.
EXECUTION
3.1 ELASTOMERIC ACRYLIC COATING INSTALLATION
A. Install roofing membrane over the existing shop area. Apply roofing according to acrylic coating system manufacturer's written instructions.
3.2 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
A. Testing Agency: Owner will engage a local qualified independent testing and inspect-ing personnel to perform roof tests and inspections.
B. Final Roof Inspection: Arrange for roofing coating system manufacturer's technical personnel to inspect roofing installation on completion and submit report to CO.
C. Repair or repair acrylic coating system where test results or inspections indicate that they do not comply with specified requirements.
