May 14, 2010 Solicitation AG-82B1-S-10-0288 Amendment 004, Blasting Requirements

Delete the sentence in the amendment 002 that said “Blasting shall occur in segments 1 and 2 after August 15th and shall occur as two blasts ( one for each segment) to minimize instream disturbance. “

Delete the Forest Service Supplemental Specification 205- Rock Blasting

Insert the following revised Forest Service Supplemental Specification 205 Rock Blasting

Supplemental Sepc revised by Amendment 4, May 14, 2010

Section 205. - Rock Blasting Construction Requirements

205.05 Blasting Plans.

(a) General Blasting Plan. Add the following:

(1) Include provisions in the blasting plan for protecting the Secesh River, the riparian area, and adjacent fisheries during blasting.

Blasting shall occur in segments 1 and 2 after August 15th and may occur in multiple blasts according to the following restrictions.

A series of small blasts are anticipated. Multiple shots ( outside of the given buffer based on shot size ) are allowed as long as they are separated by an eight millisecond or longer delay

205.08 Blasting.

Add the following:

Use appropriate blasting procedures and measures to ensure that material from the blast does not enter the Secesh River.
