Text version
A question was received about burn cycles and stem size. The government’s response follows:
In regard to past burn cycles. The districts are good about burning on a 5 to 7 year rotation with some areas getting burned more frequently than that. There are the WUI areas where burning is more infrequent and that could be locations where the districts want to do mulching/fuel reduction.
As far as amount of 10 inch stems it will depend on where the districts want the work done. If it's in an area where burning has not been done regularly then there will be more small diameter stems to work with, but if it is in an area where burning has been going on, then the stems will be less numerous.
