QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
Q: The seedling height of 18 inches – that’s different from previous contracts, right?
A: We have used contracts in the past with 18 inch and 12 inch seedling height – most recent contract for this WRP last year used 12 inch, but it is an 18 inch requirement for this contract.
Q: Are there any bonuses for finishing early like in previous contracts?
A: No, there are no incentive bonuses in this contract for early completion.

Q: What are the references regarding multiple awards referring to?
A: Only one award will be made. Any references to the possibility of multiple contract awards are a typographical error.
Q: What if there is some sort of quarantine, etc. of planting stock? Is the contractor still liable for the trees? (Example: emerald ash borer) A: Trees are to be from a certified nursery and meet the standard in the construction specification for plant materials (ANSI Z60.1 – 2004). See 612-1 of the construction specifications. We cannot certify and pay for trees until they are installed to contract requirements. After final completion, the government accepts the work and is liable for any survival of the trees, not the contractor. Plant materials must meet the specification to be accepted.
Q: How will you deal with the issue of the river coming out of bank and flooding the site?
A: This will be handled as a weather-related delay based on extreme circumstances.
Weather days are already factored into the performance time of the contract, but as the end of the performance period nears, if the contractor can document extreme conditions such as out-of-bank flow events that prevented them from completing the work, then this would be an excusable delay and the government would decide a course of action.
Q: Are there any GPS coordinates available?
A: Yes, or you could use our boundary stakes out there.
Q: Are there easement access issues from Duck Club Road?
A: No
