Text version
Project Scope for Corner Card Scanning Scan and digitally archive corner cards for the National Forests in North Carolina. The following highlights the project:
The cards are 8.5” x 5” on card stock.
Both sides are to be scanned at 300 dpi.
The cards are tabbed and physically organized by parcel#.
The cards are organized by parcel number and should be scanned into a single pdf per parcel regardless of the number of cards per parcel. The forest has approximately 30,000 cards divided by approximately 4375 parcels. Some parcels have a few cards with others having hundreds, depending on the size of the parcel. Again, one pdf per parcel given the same name as the parcel. Pdf is the only acceptable format.
The cards are divided/housed at the seven forest districts and will be hand delivered to the contractor by the Forest Surveyor one district at a time versus all seven at once. When one district is completed, the contractor will contact the Forest Surveyor to pick up the finished district cards & files burned on CD (one CD per district) and deliver another district. The Forest Surveyor will return the cards to the districts. This process will repeat until the project is finalized.
These are the only records for the Forest and it is a requirement that the contractor be somewhat local to the Asheville, NC area for pickup and delivery.
The period of performance is 90 days.
See exhibits for further clarification.
